Leon Jordan Sr. & the Renaissance
Leon Jordan Sr. has more than 40 years of experience and has toured or recorded extensively with Grover Washington Jr., John Blake Jr., Phyllis Hyman, Benny Golson, Chaka Kahn, The Stylistics and many more. Since 1994 Jordan Sr. has led master classes for the School District of Philadelphia, Mt. Airy Cultural Center, Graterford Prison, and several local and out-ot-state colleges. He is the leader of the Renaissance Orchestra.
Larry McKenna
Larry McKenna is known for his gorgeous tenor saxophone sound, the beauty of his balladry, and his fluid, bebop-inspired improvisations. Over six decades, Larry has performed and recorded with many jazz stars including Woody Herman, Clark Terry, Buddy DeFranco, Barry Harris, Tony Bennett, Rosemary Clooney, Jimmy Heath, Jon Faddis, Harry Allen, Terell Stafford, Eric Alexander, Bill Charlap, Warren Vaché, Kenny Barron, Randy Brecker, Wynton Marsalis and Frank Sinatra.
Joe Anderson
Joe Anderson is a Philadelphia native trumpet player deeply rooted in the jazz and classical idioms. Attending University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Joe earned his bachelor's degree while studying with Philadelphia jazz trumpet giants John Swana and George Rabbai. Joe recently completed his Master’s degree in Jazz Studies at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. Joe has returned to Philadelphia to continue his playing and teaching career. Currently, Joe serves as a faculty member of the University of the Arts and is also a member/soloist of the Philly Pops Big Band
Chris Oatts
Chris Oatts is a saxophonist and composer from Des Moines, Iowa, and now resides in Philadelphia. Chris moved to Philadelphia to pursue a degree in music from Temple University. Chris is a versatile musician who has studied and performed with world-renowned musicians such as Dick Oatts, Terell Stafford, Tim Warfield and Walt Weiskopf.
Andrew Neu
Having toured the world with Bobby Caldwell, Diane Schuur, Norman Brown and Smokey Robinson, Andrew Neu has shared the stage with Elton John, Patti Labelle, among others. He’s conducted the jazz program at Lower Merion High School since 1999 leading the band on four tours of Italy. Andrew is a graduate of Temple University’s Esther Boyer College of Music with additional studies at University of the Arts.
Louis "Nicky" Taylor
Louis "Nicky" Taylor is a native Philadelphian and prominent saxophone artist. Seen frequently with the band UGO, has also been part of the house band for Emeril Live on the food network with the late Doc Gibbs. He is an alumni of UAarts.
