The Parkway Council is saddened to learn that the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University has decided to close its Parkway museum. The Academy has long been part of the Parkway's cultural community, adding to the vitality and energy of its constellation of world-class cultural institutions and public landscapes.
While the closure of the museum is undoubtedly a loss, the Parkway Council looks forward to working with the Academy and Drexel University as the Academy continues its scientific research and collections stewardship within its Parkway building.
The Parkway remains one of Philadelphia's most cherished public spaces and vibrant cultural districts, and the Parkway Council remains committed to its efforts to transform the Parkway into a great urban park for all.
