The Weight of Our Living: Poetry Workshop with Trapete Mayson
PLEASE NOTE: This event has been cancelled due to rain and will be rescheduled. The new date will be shared soon. Head to Maja Park—the site of The Weight of Our Living—for a free poetry workshop with former Philadelphia Poet Laureate Trapeta B. Mayson, joined by the artist, Rachel Hsu. No registration necessary! Mayson will kick off the event with a reading, followed by three activities centered on the themes in Hsu’s work. Participants will also receive a free notebook and pen from the Association for Public Art.

Bring a blanket or chair to Maja Park for a free, outdoor jazz concert. Vibe-A-Delphia will be performing with saxophonist, Mark Allen. Please note: this is a rescheduled date from September 28.

Brilliance in the Mundane Opening Reception
Gather for a reception for the group exhibition, Brilliance in the Mundane, at Park Towne Place. The reception will begin in the North Tower Gallery, and commence with a walkthrough of the three galleries with an opportunity to hear remarks from the artists and enjoy hors d'oeuvres.
